Gina Day, O.D., F.C.O.V.D.
Clinical Care and Vision Therapy Specialist
Dr. Day was born and raised in San Francisco. She received her B.S. in Science with Highest Honors from UC Davis. She then earned her Doctorate of Optometry with Honors from the Southern California College of Optometry.
Dr. Day specializes in preoperative and postoperative care of laser vision correction patients. She has been a significant contributor to the advances in the field of wavefront-guided aser vision correction and her work has been published and presented.
Dr. Day is also one of the few eye care providers to specialize in vision therapy to enhance binocular function, depth perception, athletic performance, and school performance. Through a series of customized exercises, Dr. Day helps patients at Pacific Vision Institute improve their vision performance and maximize the results of laser vision correction. Dr. Day is a Fellow in the College of Optometrists in Vision Development, a distinction held by only a dozen optometrists in Northern California.
In addition to her work at Pacific Vision Institute, Dr. Day devotes her time to a private practice in Marin County.
While some of us are lucky to have perfect vision throughout our lifetime, many are not. Impairments can be the result of problems in the way our eyes are built or in some cases, changes take place over time.
